Pt. Nash Naubert, a US citizen presented flute recital programme at Our Association on Saturday 4th April, 2015 at 7.00 p.m. Ustad Allauddin Khan the pioneer of ‘Maihar Gharana’ practiced Indian classical music under the reign of Maharaja of Maihar in Madhya Pradesh. He did his ‘Sangeet Yajna’ at Sharada Temple of Maihar and was also well versed in playing many types of musical instruments. In his initial life he was a music composer to Pandit Uday Shankar. Gurumatha Annapurnadevi and Ali Akbarkhan were his desciples Gurumatha Annapurna Devi, a well known Guru in Classical Instrumental music and is been listed with other well renowned musicians like Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia , Pt. Nityanand Haldipur and Pt. Raghunath Seth and so on. Ustad Ali Akbarkhan settled in U.S. and became a fame amongst the music lovers.
Pt. Nash Naubert who nourished under the wings of Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia for the past 6 years, after having trained under the Gurus Dr. Prahlad Nath and Pt. Harsh Wardan. He presented Rag ‘Vachaspati’ with divine ‘Alapa’ followed by Rag ‘Bhageshri’ and ‘Bhajan Malika’ of ‘Payoje maine…,’ ‘Vaishnav Janato….’ And ‘ Ragupati Ragava…’. The recital was concluded by a Dhun in ‘Rag Pilu’. Pt. Nash Naubert was accompanied by Pt. Amit Mishra on Tabla, a disciple of Pt. Kishor Mishra of Benars Gharana. The audience appreciated the programme with thunderous applause.
